Scientific Rationale: The goal IFAS2 school is to bring together students from different horizons, expose them to high level specilized lectures, and propose them to carry-on a one-week research project. The topic of the present school is the astrophysical modelisations and simulations developped to interpret the observations of the formation and evolution of galaxies. The school is open to pre-to-post doctoral students, and possibly to academics. It will be hosted by Centre de Recherche Astrophysique de Lyon (CRAL, France) from July 11th to 16th 2016. It is co-organized by Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA, India), and the Lyon Institute of Origins (LIO, Observatoire de Lyon, France). IFAS2 is the second Indo-French Astronomical School jointly organized by CRAL-LIO and IUCAA. The first school, hold in Pune (India) in November 2015, treated of Observational Spectroscopy. CRAL has a cutting edge expertise both in cosmology and physics of galaxies. LIO is a project to coordinate multidisciplinary efforts to progress toward the understandings of the Origins. IUCAA is coordinating major efforts to build theoretical models to explain formation and evolution of galaxies to Indian astronomers. Registration, support and deadlineThe registrations are now open. The 320 € registration fees for the school cover the full board accommodation. The school offers a partial or full financial support to those justifying it. The support may take the form of reduced fees, fees waiver, and, in a limited number of cases, of providing plane tickets. The registration deadline is May 20th. The registration process is the following:
